Anyone entering the konzepthaus offices is greeted in a friendly manner: familiar faces with wagging tails. Unknown people hear a short bark that tells the employees on two legs that there is someone here that you need to take care of! Finally, at Flurstraße 1a in Sonthofen, you enter the territory of the office dogs Ria and Red. And in Hennef, another location of konzepthaus Web Solutions, the mongrel Bonny and Asterix feel responsible for registering visitors and positively influencing the vibes in their environment. The animals don't even have to reel off a program; the mere presence of the four-legged friends has been proven to improve the working atmosphere.

Dogs as climate improvers in the office

If your gaze happens to fall on a sleeping dog, whose paws may be twitching in a dream, this triggers good feelings. Eye contact or stroking leads to the release of the bonding hormone oxytocin and the happiness hormone dopamine. In this way, the animals reduce stress in the observer. Their presence even lowers blood pressure. And they always provide a break. At konzepthaus, we appreciate the distraction that our barking colleagues provide. Because without mental breaks, creativity and productivity suffer. So Ria, Bonny and co. regularly ensure the physical and mental well-being of the konzepthaus team when they go for a walk and get strokes here and there. And all the dog owners who have to get up from their desks to go for a walk come back to work feeling refreshed. Apart from the fact that it's a great advantage for the owner if their pet is allowed to come to work with them.

The konzepthaus four-legged friends are not only real ice-breakers for visitors, they also provide a constant source of conversation or make us laugh within the team. To be honest, we've been experiencing the following for years: our colleagues on four paws increase social interaction on a working day, strengthen our team spirit and bring togetherness to the fore. Of course, in an emergency, you also jump in when your master or mistress has a busy day. Give us a leash and off we go for a walk around the block! Throwing balls, which a dog enthusiastically chases after, also pulls the corners of our mouths up almost automatically. After all, we all enjoy the relaxed and warm working atmosphere that our furry friends create in their environment.

And what do our four-legged friends say?

Ria (Hungarian Pointing Dog): "I usually spend a relaxed and varied day in the office of my master, konzepthaus Managing Director Thorsten Heissel. I have plenty of places to go for cuddles, I know everyone here and have been with the company since it was founded. If Thorsten has to make a long phone call, I sometimes wait at the door, because that means a long walk for me.
And afterwards I chill out on my cushion, preferably in the sun. Only when I barked for a while whenever the phone rang, that didn't go down so well. A coach taught me the desired behavior here."

Red (Australian Shepherd): "My place is a basket, right by my master's desk. I have peace and quiet here and am with Michael all day. I enjoy that."
