Teamwork Meets Adventure
Our Summer Team Event on the Iller River

While the heat wave has the Allgäu firmly in its grip, our summer team event was on the agenda for Friday. The choice couldn’t have been more perfect: Together, we took to the Iller in a Canadian canoe—an open canoe paddled by three or four people working together.

It became clear after just a few meters: in a Canadian canoe, you can only reach your destination by working together. Communication, coordination, and teamwork are crucial for moving forward and staying on course. Everyone takes responsibility, everyone contributes their strengths—and that’s exactly what defines not only a canoe trip but also our daily collaboration as a team.

Reaching the Finish Line as a Team

In addition to the athletic aspect, of course, there was plenty of fun to be had. The midsummer temperatures made the trip the perfect opportunity to cool off on the water. There was plenty of laughter, and of course, the occasional spontaneous water fight was a must—and in between, there was always time to enjoy the impressive backdrop of the Allgäu landscape.

Wrapping Up Together at Alpsee

The day concluded with a group barbecue at Seemanns on Alpsee in Immenstadt. With good food, relaxed conversations, and a dip in the lake, we wrapped up the day together.

Team Spirit That Brings Us Together

For us, team events like this are far more than just a nice outing. They create experiences that bring us together, strengthen our bond, and demonstrate once again how important trust, communication, and mutual support are—on the water just as much as in our day-to-day work.

An all-around successful summer day that we’ll fondly remember for a long time to come.
