Stego Elektrotechnik GmbH is a German company founded in 1980 and headquartered in Schwäbisch Hall, Baden-Württemberg. The company employs around 200 people worldwide and has subsidiaries and partner companies in over 40 countries. Stego specializes in the development and manufacture of climate control solutions for enclosures and control cabinets, such as heating elements, fans and thermostats. The products are used in various industries, including automation technology, mechanical engineering and renewable energies.
The way to solution
Initial situation: The challenges of digital expansion required an experienced partner.
Stego Elektrotechnik GmbH was already using HubSpot as a CMS and marketing platform for the German market. However, the company encountered considerable challenges in the further development of its digital presence.
The previous partner agency was unable to meet the requirements of such a complex project. Functions such as a dynamic calculation tool and a product finder were not fully functional, and the maintenance effort for over 100 product pages with 500 device variants was enormous. Particularly critical: the planned rollout of the website in nine other language variants was jeopardized due to these hurdles.
With this in mind, Stego set out to find a new HubSpot partner agency that not only had sound technical expertise, but also experience with complex web projects. The choice ultimately fell on konzepthaus. The collaboration began in April 2023 with the aim of not only optimizing the website with the help of HubSpot, but also automating central business processes and making them scalable.
Solution Measures implemented:
- Optimization of the CMS setup
The website was technically revised and equipped with a new theme. In addition to the standard theme settings, various modules were improved and a flexible system for future marketing campaigns was implemented. - Dynamic product finder and calculation tool
The new product finder enables a targeted search and dynamic filtering of product information. This is supplemented by a multistep calculation tool that helps customers select the optimum heating or cooling capacity. Results are saved and qualified directly as leads in HubSpot. - Integration of a PIM system
Product data is transferred from the PIM system (Product Information Management) to HubSpot on a daily basis and saved there as custom objects. Changes in the PIM system automatically update all product pages in all languages. - Automated translations with DeepL
Seamless integration with DeepL enabled the website to be translated and published in ten languages - without any additional maintenance work.
The challenge Successful website migration under high time pressure
The technical adaptation and expansion of the website as well as the short-term integration placed high demands on project planning and technical expertise. The standard setup in Hubl was expanded with a dynamic REACT setup and an interface to the PIM system was implemented with Azure functions. The tight time frame was particularly challenging: All dynamic functions had to be redesigned and implemented and the interface realized within three months. Thanks to a structured approach and regular coordination, the project was completed on time.

- More efficient processes: The manual maintenance effort for content has been significantly reduced. Changes in the PIM system are now updated directly on the website.
- Global rollout: The website is now available in ten languages and supports the international market presence.

- Time savings: The marketing team has more capacity for strategic tasks.
- Sales handover: Leads can now be transferred to sales quickly and easily.

Outlook HubSpot as a central solution for marketing and sales
Based on the successful implementation, Stego plans to further expand the use of HubSpot. In addition to the introduction of the HubSpot Marketing Hub at all international locations, the company is also looking into using HubSpot as a company-wide CRM system.
